National Hypnotherapy Certification Program



REQUIRED COURSES for certification as a Hypnotherapist

Clinical Hypnosis 1

This is the first 20 hour course leading to Certification as a Hypnotherapist by The American Board of Hypnotherapy, as well as Certification in An-Ra Therapy, a HypnoSynergistic approach to personal growth and development, by The Bezmen Center for Clinical Hypnosis & Psychotherapy. In this course participants learn: the history of hypnosis; misconceptions surrounding hypnosis; functions of the subconscious mind; levels of trance; several induction techniques; pacing and leading to establish rapport; behavioral approaches in treatment; and supervised practicum experience. This course is approved by the New York State Nurses Association for 20 CEU's; and The American Institute of Hypnotherapy for 3 graduate credits in the doctoral program.

Clinical Hypnosis 2
This is the second 20 hour course leading to the certifications described under Clinical Hypnosis 1. In this course participants learn: advanced induction and deepening techniques; indirect inductions and suggestions; ideomotor questioning; parts integration and therapy; age regression; abreaction and release of trauma; uncovering techniques for discovering the origin of symptoms; and how to work with the resistant client. Supervised experience is provided. This course carries the same CEU's and graduate credits as Clinical Hypnosis 1.

Clinical Hypnosis 3
This is the third and final 20 hour course leading to the certifications described under Clinical Hypnosis 1. In this course participants learn how to: use advanced methods of uncovering the origins of symptomatic behavior; work with the inner child, prenatal experiences, and present life regressions; incorporate spirituality into the hypnotic experience; and set up a hypnosis practice. The core of this course is a powerful transformational healing process that helps clients release deep seated blocks to their personal growth and development. Case presentations by instructors and participants, as well as supervised experiences are also provided. This course carries the same CEU's and graduate credits as Clinical Hypnosis 1.
